[email protected] Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 loss of compression , harder to start ....... get a compression tester at napa Quote
batoutofshell Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 When your fuel capacity equals the ratio of the rear tires wearing out its time for a rebuild. Quote
trex banshee Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 if you are completely stock you should be getting alot of ride time on it if it is tuned correctly and well maintained. but like chase said get a compression tester. It depends on your elevation but a bone stock shee should be somewhere around 135psi if you get down to 90-100 it is time for a rebuild. Quote
Dead Op Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 As long as you maintain your machine you will get the longest top-end possible. Clean your air Filter regularly, have your bike jetted correctly, mixe the gas +oil correctly, adjust airscrews, and clean out your carbs from time to time you will be fine. My 01 has the factory topend in it, and the compression was checked last weekend at 120 psi and it was about 122 in each cylinder last fall , starts on 1 kick and pulls like a rocket. Quote

A small note to batoutofshell: Please, do not be sarcastic, its not nice to make fun of people's question(s), imagine you asked a question and people started to make fun of your question, would you like it, i think not; have a nice day. . Posted May 14, 2006 Report Posted May 14, 2006 It's not a stupid question but one that has been asked a million times....much like most of the questions you ask on this site. If you are really asking questions about how much tread left to change tires and truthfully have no clue....then maybe riding a banshee isnt for you. You should go find a good ol reliable 4stroke that you dont have to maintain at all. A polaris would be good for you, just take it to the dealer every once in a while for some oil and grease and you should be good to go As far as this question goes.....see that little word at the top that you can click on called "SEARCH" ......try using it sometime Quote
Cotton eyed Joe Posted May 16, 2006 Report Posted May 16, 2006 I do a full rebuild when my hand grips start showing wear. Mudcool taught me that one. Quote
