Ok, I think I might have done something bad. I went and bought some pre-mix and I just followed what it said on the bottle. It said to add one bottle to 5-gallons of gas. So I did that. Isn't that a 50:1 ratio? I haven't put it in my tank yet because I'm not sure if I should run it or not. Will it be safe to run this or did I just throw away some perfectly good gas?

Does it say anything else on the bottle?

How big is the bottle? How many ounces?

What kind of oil is it?

The bottle itself is 12.8oz (.379 liter). It says on the back to just put one bottle into 5 gallons for a 50:1 ratio. It also says that leaner jetting may be required for best performance.

The oil is Bel-Ray MC-1.

I run my Banshee at 50:1. I did 40:1 when I got it from the dealer and it would foul plugs like mad so after about 4 sets in a couple weeks I decided to try 50:1 and no problems at all. I run Klotz Benol.

Wertzy: I have run that oil for years in mine & for that oil I would reccomend 40:1. 16 ounces for 5 gals. I have never had any problems with it like separation or going bad over time like benol for example.

Ok cool. I think I might pick up another bottle and add 4 more oz into the gas to make it 40:1 instead. Thanks for all the help guys. :headbang:

The MC-1 is popular amongst motocross guys, they all mix at 50:1.

I run the SI-7 for 3 years now and @ 32:1, if you have your jetting set properly you will never have a fouled plug, I never have.

If you plan on running alot of open trail or alot of wide open throttle riding, I'd suggest going heavier on the oil, remember that the oil is also all that lubes the whole crank assembley. ;)
