OK i have a 87 kx250 model and it has chrome plating on it i am looking into just resleeving it with a steel but the guy said that if i do that i might have overheating problems with it because the 80's models arn't able to handle that... soo i said ... crap...

i was wondering what the deal is...

would it happen alot? alittle?

anyway to fix the heating if i do get steel...

I had a 1987 KX250 that I had resleeved with cast iron sleeve.  Never had a problem with overheating.  Bike had aftermarket pipe, no other mods (I never even changed the jetting).  Ran it 2 years almost daily without any problems before I sold it. . .
