Those were some serious questions, you already said you arent mechanically inclined so I was just covering the basics... How do you know your bike is overheating? If you dont want my help thats fine too.... just trying to guide you in the right direction. Just dont want you to go pulling the head off if you dont need to... especially since you dont know what your doing.

 

But then again :yank: im hilarious :yank:

stock overflow hoses route right above the pipes and when the motor gets hot it purges some of the coolant out and when it does that it dripps on the pipes thus causing and smoke in the front of the bike. its perfectly normal

Okay,

 

I have been reading through this long post.

 

#1 I don't think the new owner knows for sure if the shee is overheating or not.

 

#2 I also agree with passion on the head gasket

 

#3 Get a damn Cylmers and do this crap yourself.

Nothing against the thread starter, but what in the hell does someone buy a banshee of all things if they have no nuts to repair it themselfs they seem to constantly have problems :cheers:
