I work for a printshop, owned by a catholic publishing company, would have been working easter weekend printing their catholic school books, but friday night the press broke... If they had it their way the books would have been done by Monday...

 

Tell me how a Catholic company can do this?

 

I answer that. The printshop I actually work for has a different name than the publishing company, this covers the Catholic side of things...

I can't even count the number of Sundays that we work while the head honcho's are at church or whatever..

 

Don't even make me bring up the priest and little boy's scandals of the past. How could someone even consider being part of a religon where that takes place?

 

Needless to say the kids painteaster eggs and we hide them, but do they know the real meaning of Easter? No... Will I tell them? No! The same with X-mas, they know santa brings gifts..

 

I know alot about the catholic religon from just reading the K-12 workbooks we print for them..

the scandals were mostly roman catholics werent they? either way....u cant really judge an entire religion unanymously. not all catholics, or christians, or people act the same.

Here is a site, a christian site, but one that explains what I believe for the most part. It puts what I and others have tried to say in an easier to understand light.

 

I am not trying to push religion or Christianity on anyone, but I don't think HD and some others get what I am about. This may help. All I ask is that you Check it out before you bash on me. It's a cool non-offensive site.

HD, fair enough. Im not pushing religion. Never have. I checked out your site, even though you dont believe in it. Did you even check out www.notreligion.com? I am not trying to convert you, this isn't about you. If you read my post I said it is about me and who I am....not that anyone cares. And really, the bigger picture is it is about God and who he is and what he has done for all of us. notreligion.com puts what I believe in a pretty simple package.

 

You asked questions and accused those of us who tried to answer with speaking mindless babble. I tried to give you something that you could look at and try to see where we are coming from and you post back with the Satanic Church. What is that? What does that have to do with anything, you dont belive in that either.

 

Ive been on the site for a while now and don't go around trying to pick fights or force my views on anyone. I started this thread, so I kinda feel like I can try to explain myself and who I am.

 

Not once have I attacked you because you choose to ignore God. It is not my place to judge you, attack you, convert you or whatever you think I am trying to do. This is the General Discussion Forum. I posted an Easter thread for those of us on the site who understand and recognize the importance of what the holiday represents to Christians and those who may be curious about what the big deal is.
