I received them and installed them with no problems. I want to know why you can pull out the intsert on the side where it connects to the rubber intake piece? It goes from a round hole to a big square. Is this used for bigger carbs, modded engines, ect.? I left them in but tell me if I did something wrong. The directions say nothing.

im guessing thats the thing you take out to replace the worn reeds
