WALLACE84 Posted April 11, 2006 Report Posted April 11, 2006 I have the infamous chain wack in my case and I have a extra top case that doesnt have any breaks in it. I took my motor to a builder to have the the head milled , top case put on, and have the motor goen through ,well he thought he would try and save me some money but using some shit like jb weld but said it was better then it and he rewelded my clucth mount back on. The clutch mount is fien now but Im a damn perfectionist and seeing if you guys would take a fresh motor back apart just to put a new top case on P.S sorry for this being so long Quote
Blue Duece Posted April 11, 2006 Report Posted April 11, 2006 if its working i wouldnt fuck with till you go to rebuild it, granted its probally ugly, im the same way i want it just tits, but hey theres that cash factor Quote
WALLACE84 Posted April 11, 2006 Author Report Posted April 11, 2006 Yea thats kinda what I was thinking. Thanks for the reply Quote
bigboybanshee Posted April 11, 2006 Report Posted April 11, 2006 I agree with Deuce, if it works fine now, leave it be....I wouldn't mess with it any more until the next time for a rebuild, or the JB weld wears off and you have to do something. Function over form Quote

Function over form 500569[/snapback] Haha, I'm just trying to imagine a crack in anything on BBB's bike. Fucking thing is cleaner than the dishes I eat off. The snow on it in the back of his truck made it look dirty. The odds are against you if you replace the top half. Almost certainly, your first trip out, you'd toss another chain and take a good chunk out of the new one. Quote
