Hey,

I'm new here, just signed up. I just have a few questions about banshees. I've been wanting a new bike or a quad for a while now. I decided that I would like to get a banshee. Most of the riding I do is trail riding and sometimes I ride in gravel pits and sand. I'm a fairly novice to intermediate dirt bike rider and I was wondering if the banshee is a good quad for me.

If I do end up getting one, what are some things I should look for when buying one. Like what are the good years for the banshees, upgrades that have been done to it and so on. I don't plan on modifying too much or doing a complete overhaul on one since that is what im doing to my truck right now.

Thanx in advance,

Calvin, the chevydude :headbang:

hi and welcome to hq.yeh go with a banshee.it don't matter what year really they are all great and have had very little changes through out the years.the 87-89 were j-arms and then they went to a-arms.both were great and althouggh i prefer the older j-arm frames because all i do is drag race mine.most ppl prefer the newer a-arm set ups.the motors have remained unchanged since the beginning for the banshee.alot of people get a banshee and don't plan on modifying it to much but after you get one and get to haveing fun on it ,i'm sure you'll start upgrading and modifying.it becomes an addiction. :rotflmao:

That is NO lie either, I'm constantly thinking of things to do to mine :D

The great thing about a banshee is you can pretty much go in whatever direction you want with it. You can set it up for trails, duning, dragging, etc. The aftermarket for banshees is incredible...you have a LOT to choose from.

Welcome to the forums Calvin!

He's not lying.

If I had the money to spend, I'd spend it. If I had the means to house 10 of these bikes I would.

Hi, my name is Stan, and I'm an addict.

So whats the difference between the J-arm and A-arm front ends. Is when stronger then the other. I don't want to buy to new of a quad because I'm kind of on a tight budget because of my truck, so I'm looking for an older quad that is in good condition. I plan on leaving it stock until I improve my riding skills so I can handle the extra power the mods will give me.

Thanx

I know what the shape of them are, I've seem pics of them. I was wondering which of them are better for when I'm buying a shee. The J-arms look weeker then the A-arms. Is this true.
