slowpokebanshee Posted March 25, 2006 Report Share Posted March 25, 2006 lookin to do a rebuild this summer, got about $800-$1000 to work with looking at cub cylinders, or a 4mil stroker crank. with porting on stock cylinders... also thinking about the "trinity" style 2:1 carb 35 or 38mm? currently stock motor with stock carbs t-5s K&N clamp ons milled head +7 timing plate...going after my brother he has stock stroke, huge drag porting, CPI pipes and 34mm carbs....milled head, and timing plate +4.... dtm03 Posted March 25, 2006 Report Share Posted March 25, 2006 I'd probably go with the cubs. just because when you decide to go bigger, you have a better chance at selling the cubs than the stock cylinders..... but I dont think $800 - $1000 is gonna cover all of the cost of either of the two.... It will be easy to add the 4Mmil cubs later, it will not be easy to add the stroker crank to stock stroke Cub jugs. The crank won't give you the power the jugs will, but it's also only 1/3 the price.
