watkins Posted March 19, 2006 Report Posted March 19, 2006 Does the other side fire if you swap the plug wires? Quote
Novaguy Posted March 20, 2006 Report Posted March 20, 2006 The extra wire is probably for an extra set of lights. That is how my old stator was set up also. As far as having spark on one side, try removing the coil end cap from the non-sparking side by unsrewing it and hold the end to a ground (a cylinder head nut) and see if there is spark. If there is spark, you need to replace that cap. Hope it works out and keep us posted. Quote
bansheerage Posted March 20, 2006 Report Posted March 20, 2006 swap the plugs and and see if the other cylinder fires then you know its the plugs. just saying that because i had a problem like that and could never figure it out until i was checking compression then accidentaly swapped plugs and the other cylinder fired. Couldnt see the plug was cracked on the inside. hope that might help Quote
Justintoxicated Posted March 21, 2006 Report Posted March 21, 2006 (edited) If you have stock carbs check to make sure the crossover tube is connected between them. if it is then let us know if you are getting spark on both sides. Edited March 21, 2006 by Justintoxicated Quote
