LeadBoots Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 heres the problem has no spark it does about every 30 kicks or so . it sat for a while so i think its just rusted the coils on the stador plate. do ya think thats right Quote
watkins Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 (edited) Try a different stator and see. Have anyone you know with a banshee that you could swap out parts with for testing? Edited March 13, 2006 by watkins Quote
LeadBoots Posted March 15, 2006 Author Report Posted March 15, 2006 well its not the stator. how can u test to see if a spark plug coil is still good. Quote
BenBB Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 Easiest way is to pull it off and have a dealer (ugh) or shop bench test it, that or plug it in to a different bike/quad and see if it fires (tested mine of my son's TRX70 once heh). Could be a wiring issue or CDI but I'd go through all of it... Huh the electrical FAQ is still online, that's wierd I cancelled that ISP like a year ago lol! Scope it out: http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/elecfaq.html Quote
Roll4Fun350 Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 Hey , make sure that where the coil is attached to the frame is free of rust, if its not gettin a good ground it wont give you a very good spark. I had that same problem. Quote
LeadBoots Posted March 16, 2006 Author Report Posted March 16, 2006 thanks i didnt think to check that Quote
