OnlyA2Stroke Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 I have a few questions about how to adjust the idle on my banshee. I only see one carb that has a brass screw that looks like it adjusts my idle. Both carbs have the air/fuel screw that sits flush in both carbs. I already unhooked my TORS, but what does the 2 flat head screws do on top of the TORS on both carbs? I took the snorkel off my airbox and on the inside of the lid I cut out that big tunnel for airflow, so it is a straight shot of air. Would I need to up my main jets or adjust the needle any? I am going to be purchasing 20x11x10 Turf Tamers on .160 Douglas wheels. How will these hold up to trail riding? Mainly rough terrain. Quote
banshee tuner Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 The turf tamers will be good trail tires, but get the .190 rims so they wont bend as easy. Quote
banshdog Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 I believe that the large flat screws on the tops of the TORS are for adjusting the idle. And yes, if you modded your air box, you will most likely have to up your main jets..... maor air will require more fuel I agree with banshee tuner, for rims i would go with the .190's. you said that the terrain was rough, so go with the thicker, stronger rims. When adjusting one carb, remember to do the same to the other so they dont get out of sync. I would go up about 2 sizes on your mains and check your plugs. If you are running the stock air filter, I suggest you throw it away as soon as possible. Get yourself a proflow flange adapter with your prefrence of clamp on style air filter, whether it be foam or K&N. The small brass screws are the air screws. Quote
OnlyA2Stroke Posted March 10, 2006 Author Report Posted March 10, 2006 Thanks guys. I will do a search and find out what size main jets the stock Banshee has and up them 1 and see how that goes. I will probably go with a Uni Foam Filter cause I live where it is dry gravel roads. Also, would the EHS racing airbox mod be good for a UNI filter? Do they even make a good enough lid mod that will keep out the water? Quote
fastbanshee8 Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 Stock main jet size is 190 or 200, depending on location. Quote
