bansheeryder_69 Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 Were going road tripping for spring break, were going down to St. George utah and the dunes just north of vegas, is there any other dunes that we could hit on our way there? anybody have maps/pics/directions. it would all be GREATLY appreciated. hittintrees srh Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 Little Sahara is on your way-sorta when your on your way south on I-15 get off in santa quin(i think) and its about an hour or so down the road. Its the only place i ride, so ya know i love it what dunes are neer vegas P.S. if you do decide on goin out to little sahara-hit me up, im ALWAYS down!!!!!!! Quote

St. George for spring break huh . I remember those days. That place is crazy then. Dumont sand dunes are just south of vegas. Thats where they hold banshee wars every year. Quote

Take a side-road or something and come hit up Killpecker dunes with me! i will have my new bike up and running by the time you got down here. PM me! I can give you a place to stay, and come ride with you out at the dunes (if there isn't much snow!) When are you planning this trip? I think were just going to camp out in the enclosed trailer but a nice shower would be bitchin. I think we are going on april 13 (thursday) and coming back the 17th (monday) How long of a drive is it to rock springs from Rexburg? then to too many toys house? Quote
BigRed350x Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 (edited) It is 265 miles from rexburg to Rock Springs if you go down to HWY 26 then once in wyoming go down 189 then to 191 and 191 takes you right into rock springs. Pretty much a straight road from your place down to RS. Your idea sounds awesome. If you are for sure going to do that, let me know and i will take vacation time from work and go riding with you. Too Many Toy's place is about 2.5 to 3 hours from my place all along I-80. Not sure how far it is to the other dunes, but he would know. Killpecker is well worth the drive, even if there is some snow out there, it's awesome to ride. Maybe we could convice jamey (rippen) to come along. Hopefully this weekend weather permitting. also the dunes tour is coming through Little Sahara Utah in July check it out at http://www.sandaddiction.com We will be down there Spring Break weekend of course. Take Santa Quin exit and head West follow signs when you hit highway 6 go straight across highway and you will be at entrance. check out map quest and it will bring you close to the area between Eureka and Delta. (You will go over rail road tracks right off entrance to road off highway, thats when you know your on right path.) Also ask for directions- people are nice out here. Be sure to come to Sand Mountain! Quote

My school is lamo and decided to make the Jr. Miss pageant that whole weekend. the girlyfriend would ahve my balls if I missed that one so we should set up another ride but I'm not sure when.but still lets have a dune ride to ittle sahara who else would be in Quote
