Ruko Posted March 5, 2006 Report Posted March 5, 2006 You're probably thinking of nikosil... and no the stock cyl's don't have that. They are an alluminum casting with a cast iron sleeve. So the bore is cast iron... very much honeable. You just have to check your size and piston clearance. If you have too much wear they will need to be bored oversize. Quote

BigRed350x Posted March 5, 2006 Report Posted March 5, 2006 You can get Cub cylinders with the nikasil plating. Stockers don't have it though. Quote

Ruko Posted March 5, 2006 Report Posted March 5, 2006 i heard you can get your stock cylinders nikasil plated? 482194[/snapback] you could but it wouldn't be worth it.. I looked into it a couple years ago... you would have to take out the cast sleeves and put in aluminum ones then have them plated... very pricey.... pretty much a waste of money.. Quote
2bzy2p Posted March 5, 2006 Report Posted March 5, 2006 the cubs only come nikisiled, but now there starting to make sleeves to put back in the cubs if something happens Quote
