i couldn't find any thing by searching, has anyone removed these and epoxied in studs or something? i'm talking about the ones to mount the tank cover & front plastics at the back of the tank.

I think you can drill them out if your careful and epoxy in some nuts or something?

it might be easier to find another gas tank, they're pretty cheap off ebay.

If the bolt is still in it just chuck it up to a drill and spin it till the plastic gets hot enough for the insert ot come out. Clean the hole up a little and get some epoxy that is resistant to gas. The fumes coming thru the tank can ruin some types of epoxy. Then, just fill up the hole with epoxy and put the insert back in. Let it sit overnite and it should be good to go.

thanks for the replies. both inserts are stripped out in the tank, one bolt is broke off in the insert and the other one is stripped out.
