ww90stufrey3 Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 I have noticed that the left side of the motor doesn't always run. The right exhaust has good flow and "pop" from it, but the left side just has "air" flowing out with no "pop". I recently disassembled the motor and the left exhaust was full of gas. I emptied it and still the left side doesn't work. I have checked the spark plug and it fires. I recently put new PT mids on it and VForce3 reed cages. The right piston has carbon build up on it, the left side looks as clean as the day I put these Wiseco pistons in. It is brown, from the fuel mixture; it smells like gas and down in the crank it smells like gas. There have been a few times when I accidently left the fuel on, by accident. But I am generally very good about keeping it turned off. Any suggestions? Quote
banshee tuner Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 Eigther the reeds are stuck open or the float in the carb is stuck or set to high. Quote
kenr74 Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 If you have a coolhead it could be a bad oring or could be the crank seal going. Quote
ww90stufrey3 Posted February 19, 2006 Author Report Posted February 19, 2006 Sorry guys! I failed to change the spark plug. I talked to a guy at the dealer and he said a "fuel-fouled" plug can do anything including appearing as though it works perfectly. I put the motor back togather and it works fine. Quote
