hi i am new to this forum thank god i found it i just coped a 99 shee last month from a freind of mine i did a compression test on this past week and it read 120psi on one side and about 118psi on the other this quad has never seen a new top end before i did the test with the engine in normal operating temp my question is do you think i have enough compression on it still to throw on my t5s and what jetting should i use i live in new york city i believe that i am at sea level or maybe a little above any help i will appreciate very much

If you're running the stock head @ or around sea level, then 120 is right where you need to be. :cheers: The only time compression becomes an issue is when either both cylinders are around 100 psi or lower, or if you have 10 psi or more difference between the two (i.e. one is at 120, the other is at 105; then you would have a problem).

 

So, with that being said....slap them T5's on there and take ellison's advice! :headbang:

If you have the stock airbox...280s will be fine for warm weather, might want to jump to 290s or 300s to be safe, especially how cold it is over there now.

 

However, if you removed your airbox and have clampons, you'll end up with 320 to 340 on the mains....figure 340 to 360 for winter jetting....

 

Since Manhattan just got hit with 2 feet of snow, you might want to get a snowmobile for the time being...
