HEY GUYS !

IM LOOKING FOR A CHEEP STOCK POWERBAND.

FOR MY 86 BANSHEE

THE ONE ON THE BIKE NOW IS ALL STREACHED OUT

AND I KEEP THROWING IT .

IT STAYS ON WHEN IM JUST PUTTING AROUND BUT WHEN I REALLY

GIVE HER SUM SUPPA . IT FLYS RIGHT OFF.

IM AFRAID IM GOING TO SMASH A VALVE OR TWO.

 

MAYBE SOME ONE KNOWS A TRICK OR SOMETHING

SO I CAN JUST GO A LITTLE LONGER UNTILL I GET SOME CASH TO BUY A FACTORY REPLACEMENT.

I ALREADY HAS 3 SHIMS BEHIND IT.

I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO???

im parting out a heavly modded john deer model 310 c

shes got a 40 horse merc runs on pump gas.

has a new jet pump and roller rockers.

modified stage 3 trans with 2 to 1 belt drive reduction.

last year she sheered a pin while i was out tillin my ex brunkle inlaws

clam flats .so i had them all replaced with chromoly replacements.

now she purrs . i hate to letter go but

i got tripplets on the way and the old lady says i have to get something more practical.

i got one in my garage a turbo diesal powerband with propane injection the powerband tensile strength is about 40 lmfao's

hey thanks anyway guys

but i got one

I traded some stuff i just had laying around for a new aftermarket titainum one.

I swapped 3 boxes of 3/16 spot welds , 2 phetlzer valves and a aluminun magnet.

I took out all the shims torqued the pullies with a left handed wrench

as suggested by "dafish" adjusted it to specs reattached the negative battery cable

performed a idle relearn.

i drove it yesterday for about 20min as soon as i get er broken in i'll let you guy know how she goes

update

the pully on the jackshaft had some slop

I measured the endplay with my eyecrometer

If i followed the chart correctly

it calls for a .125 shim

all i have is 1/8" shims

i want to ride this weekend
