I searched but the recommendations were all over the place. Ive actually been following these 2 into 1 carb threads for some time now so ive got the basic concept. I finally went with one and im going jetting this weekend. Im taking a 50, 52, and 62 pilot, DEK needle, and 190, 200, 210, 215, 220, and 225 main.

Trinity is telling me to run:

50 pilot

DEK in the middle

200 main

The guy I got it from told me to run:

62 pilot

DEK 4th clip down from the top

225 main

With what is in my sig, what do you think? Thanks in advance.

You'll prolly end up somewhere around a 190 main, 55 pilot. At Glamis, I'm running 200/62 on my +4 and I'm just a tad fat.

I was going to start fat on the mains (220) and also try a 52 pilot, with the DEK in the middle. This is what I set it up with last night when installing it, and it starts up and idles killer.....of course that doesnt mean shat.

So you think a 220 main is too fat? and 52 pilot is too small? How about in the middle of the DEK? airscrew?

Sorry about all the Q's, I guess I had a misconception of how this carb runs.

Pilot: 48, 50 or 52. No 62, that's way too rich unless something's wrong. You'll probably need a 48 or 50.

Needle: The DEK should be fine with a duneport, just depends on how aggressive. Try the 4th clip.

Mains: The ones your taking should work. I doubt you'll be below a 190 with portwork, but it's possible. I would've said take 175 to 210 and you might end up in the 195 to 205 area.

Keep in mind, ALL portwork is different, so the main jet stuff is totally speculation. Your portwork can make a lot of difference. It all has to do with vacuum. If the portwork is done right and your getting good flow (good doesn't mean volume, it means speed), then the vacuum will be there and you shouldn't need a huge main. If you find yourself needing a huge main (215+), try going to an EEK needle and then down on the main size some.
