volks16valves Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 hi everybody , I recenltly bought a 98 banshee and he just started to make some free game.... ill explain ; my spark plug are bran new , i have good compression , my carb as just been recently clean ( 27.5 pilot , 230 main , 3rd position needle) its minus 5 degree oustide and sometime the right piston stop working , at mid trootle he restart , when puish the trootle at max he stop again and the other one continue working , why would only one piston stop working like that , and i was riding with my friend , i made a 20 min run after 10 min he started to goes like a shit so i stop at my mom's house to check up the spark plug , everything looked great , so i decide to go back to my trailer and stop my ride but the piston worked back !!! so i was like Damn WTF is wrong , does any body know what would it be? I tough it would be the spark wire... dunno maybe a defect spark plug please help i wanna make some ATV tomorrow Christian Quote
aguita Posted January 15, 2006 Report Posted January 15, 2006 switch plugs,wires and c if the problems move to the other side..if occurs then u have electric problems..mayb ur coil is going bad..it happened to my once..but i had spark sometimes yes and sometimes no...the problem was my plug cap that was gettin rust where it connects to the plug wires...try thah! GYTWYPT Posted January 15, 2006 Report Posted January 15, 2006 I just had this problem after getting my 4 mil back in the bike. I switched coils but dont think it was the coil. I made sure the coil had good contact with the frame as well as the ground near the back of the bike. Sanded the frame in all those places so it would have a good clean contacta and that did it. good luck Quote

volks16valves Posted January 19, 2006 Author Report Posted January 19, 2006 (edited) Hey guys I just founded the problem , it was my carb , when i washed it a small piece of towel stayed in the carb and blocked my Main jet , thats why... lol i should have push more compressed air in in b4 puting everything together and use a Rag that cannot leave small particle ... thegroup Posted January 19, 2006 Report Posted January 19, 2006 ive got one better, a buddy and i were riding one day and my warrior was leaking gas like a water fall. no big deal, took the carb off, clean it, put it back on. when to start it, no go. took teh carb back off i completely forgot to take the papertowel out of the intake boot to keep shit from getting in it. took teh towel out, put the carb back on and fired right up Quote
