04YAMSHEE Posted January 12, 2006 Report Posted January 12, 2006 i've got a 04 with fattys, clamp on k&n's no air box, boost bottle, and reed spacers. i put in 290 mains and it seems to loose 1 cylinder, if i pull the choke it's fine also i have way more blue out the right pipe then the left....anyone??? 2003LimitedBanshee Posted January 12, 2006 Report Posted January 12, 2006 Just based on what you have for mods, and the problems you are describing, I would guess you are lean, unless you are at a fairly significant elevation. I would suspect you would be in the low to mid 300's with those mods. Probably right around 320-330. In regards to the smoke out of the right tailpipe. Mine has always done this until it warms up quite well. However, if the smoke is whiter, and never seems to go away it could be a crank seal gone bad. Does this smoke go away if you get on it real hard? In my understanding, if you have a crank seal gone, the smoking should get worse due to the increased crankcase vacuum. Quote

If you have a plug pilot or idle passage this would cause a lack of fuel, causing you to lose one side. Quote

Banchetta Posted January 15, 2006 Report Posted January 15, 2006 You have something in the main jet or pilot jet....pull the carb and blow it out w/ an air compressor...I'd do a compression check and make sure you didn't hurt the piston.... Quote
