i've got a 04 shee with fmf fattys and clamp on k&n's. i am running 310 mains and 27.5 pilots and i've had it this way for 2 years now. i had to take my carbs down again to replace the needle/seat. and i was thinking of setting the clip on the needle from the third to the forth because i have kinda had a midrange flat spot. does this sound like a good idea or just leave it alone?

i think i found it. i ripped out the needle and seat and the needle is coated with a rubber tip and there was a pretty big groove wore in it. the down fall is that the needle/seat assy is a wonderfull $35 per carb!! thanx for the help!! i will keep you guys informed if that fixes it.

my right carb is leaking out the overflow when i shut my banshee off. i took off the carbs and cleaned them both out and checked to see if the float was sticking and everything looked good. put it back togother fired her up, shut her down and leaking away again.

well i wasn't being a dick i was just posting information. anyways, i put the new impeller in, refilled the coolant and drained some out of the resivoir. started it up and brought it up to temp, no bubbles present. shut it off and pressure tested the system, no leaks. put the cap on and ran it for a while in the garage and no coolant. i should be good to go.

also noticed that last time i topped off my coolant it is over the full line in the resivoir

doing the waterpump on my banshee and want to replace the o-ring thats on the case side tube that goes into the waterpump housing but can't find it on a parts diagram. is there a aftermarket one or do i have to get one from yamaha and does anyone have a part #? i assume they won't know what i'm talking about at the dealer if i can't find it on their diagrams.

i've talked to 3 of my buddies with banshees and they said all of theirs leak out of that overflow tube.

any one know what the pro design impeller kit comes with? just the impeller?or the impeller, gear and gaskets? thanx

well i pulled the cover off and inspected the impellor and it looks ok, i will replace it anyway. i think i will add a inline cooler and the impellor and see if that makes a difference. do i have to pull off the complete side cover to get the impellor out?

had this happen a couple times but it seems to be getting worse. i am getting coolant drips out of the overflow. all i did today was start it for the first time this season and let it warm up. shut it off and noticed coolant drips from the overflow tube. what is this from? i couldn't see it overheating after only a few minutes on a 40 degree day. also what do i need to do to change the waterpump impeller?

i got a set of reed spacers but they don't have any gaskets? is there supposed to be gaskets or not? i don't want to put these in and have a air leak

what type of boysen reeds are they? i'll probally take them so PM me a address and info/pics? if you have any. thanx

when you pull out the jets it will or let me say should say the size on it, it's small and hard to read but should be there!

i am in michigan....i have similar to your setup....k&n clamp on's and fmf pipes. i am running 300 MAINS and 30 PILOTS. i am a little rich i believe but it seems to run good all around... started and ran ok the other day at 22 outside

auctually i guess i was talking about the chain slider now that i've done a couple searches......looks like i'm off to magics racing on monday to buy the replacement slider/roller pack. thanx!!

the chain guide that is mounted to the swingarm.......is that supposed to be fixed and not move or is it supposed to move all around.....mine moves a lot and my wifes raptor 350 dosen't move at all

it was damn busy on sat but not bad at all on sunday, had a blast i was pretty sure i was off on the needle, thats what i'll try next!
