iceman Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 I was wondering how hard is it supposed to be to get the front hub of its spindle? one side came off easy and the other isnt coming off. is it possible to bend the spindle or inside of the hub? everything went so smooth until now. Quote
FIRST BANSHEE Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 try appling pressure to the hub or rotor, and hit the spindle with a dead blow hammer, or rubber mallet. Quote
iceman Posted January 8, 2006 Author Report Posted January 8, 2006 ive been doing that but i guess ill keep trying. thanks. its also hard because its off the arms and i dont have a vice to hold it. Quote
iceman Posted January 8, 2006 Author Report Posted January 8, 2006 nevermind i got it. just needed a few more whacks. Quote
FIRST BANSHEE Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 make sure that rotor turns freely, with no dragging. sounds like you might have some corrision in there. Quote
iceman Posted January 9, 2006 Author Report Posted January 9, 2006 it turns fine. i was just scared to hit it. ive been taking off my whole front suspension and i feel like if i hit something too hard it will break so ive been trying to tap tap the ball joints and hubs loose. tapping doesnt work though. took me a long time to figure that out.
