i just bought a 98 banhee the motor was ported by eric gorr. it has the woods port with a noss head i think 20cc domes 170lb comp, pro design intake and boost bottle with filter in the box no lid has outerwear cover, stock reeds, fmf gnarly pipies with powercore2 silencer,i have stock carbs 310 main,25 pilot, needle in the 3rd clip. i need some help with jetting,i need to jet for 0-30 degrees. does anyone have a set up close to this? would it help to go to bigger carbs,or different pipes, right now it has ton's of low to mid range, but i'm going to do more ice racing and drag racing, nothing serious just not a big mx or trail rider just like to go fast.which plugs do you guys run, what heat range and gap.i know i have alot a ? but it never hurts to get as much info as you can.if i switch pipes can i use my silencers with another pipe or will they only work with fmf pipes? well thats probably enough for one setting,so thanks in advance!!!!

alright first off, what is your elevation? That will play a part in your jetting. What you have in there right now sounds lean even for summer to me. As far as wanting to go fast. Are you saying your bike isn't fast enough for you? Based on the mods you listed it is deffinatly set up for woods / MX type riding. You didn't say what your gearing was, but With the torqe you should be putting out you could easily pull some higher gearing and gain some top speed that way. As far as what jets to try running for the 0-30 deg. range. I'm in the same boat right now too. But, my shee isn't ported yet. I picked up some 340's, 27.5's, and went to the 5th notch on my needle (needles came from toomey, they have 6 notches). I haven't had a chance to take it out and run it yet though.

edit: If you didn't know make sure to run a mix of race gas with that compression

Your jetting will vary one size for every 15-20 degrees...so if your jetting is for 70 degrees out, then you'll need to go 4-5 sizes larger...I'd try raising the needles to the 4th or 5th clip from the blunt end. Try both and see which one pulls harder...as for more high rev or top end pipe, ya you'll see some gains at the high peaks, but you'll lose that bottom end that most people try to get....some pipes are interchangeable w/ different silencers...as for gearing, try a 15 tooth front, 41 rear, w/ 20" tires, 16 tooth for 18" tires...
