bansheeryder_69 Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 buy yourself a real gun and you will have more fun shooting it than playing the game. the gun will retain its value also. 450723 haha this is so true. i too think its stupid how people run out and blow all their money on something as worthless as an x-box wow Quote
MudSlinger09 Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 now that i think bout it ... the graphics werent that much better... and i aint waitin for the ps3 now that i heard that stuff up there about it Quote
Koolguyson Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 Forbes reports that microsoft loses 145 dollars on every 360 that is sold. That being said they make their money on accessories and games. The consoles themselves are actually very well priced. They have more technology inside them then 90% of the computer systems being sold right now. If you ever have the time you should read what these things have for power. The systems hold their value very well. take for example exactly a year ago. Every xbox was sold out, even though it was 3 years old at that time. They were going for retail and higher on ebay, even though they were becoming obsolete. I had to drive 2 counties over to get one for my step-brother, it was rediculous. If you want to bitch about something not holding its value...take a look at our quads Quote
bigboybanshee Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 PS3 is going to suck, the load time is going to be horrible and you cant watch dvd's on it. 449887 How do you know it sucks? Who cares about watching DVD's, that's what a DVD player is for... I agree with most though, anything over 200 bucks for a game system is WAY too much. You could build your own gaming system now a days for under 300 Quote
MudSlinger09 Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 one game comes to mind for me when i think of pc gaming.... wolfenstein et!!! Quote
sandman121383 Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 from wat i heard microsoft miught recall every unit. they put the cooling fan on bottom or something. htye over heat and shut off. i also heard from a friend who works at an EB Games in a local mall that their display model does it all the time plus it somehow cuts the discs that u put into it sometimes. anyone else hear shit like this? Koolguyson Posted December 24, 2005 Report Posted December 24, 2005 a 2.7% defective rate was reported, which is lower then any other console debut. The problem they had was overheating and crashing. never eating discs though? Quote
RNBRAD Posted December 24, 2005 Report Posted December 24, 2005 PS3 is going to suck, the load time is going to be horrible and you cant watch dvd's on it. 449887 Here's what the ps3 will be compatible with since you didn't know. Blu-ray Disc format--including that format's BD-ROM (read only), BD-R (write-once), and BD-RE (rewritable) discs. SACD, DVD-Video, DVD-ROM, DVD+R/RW, DVD-R/RW, CD-R/RW, CD-ROM, Audio CDs, and Dual-Disc. Also backwards compatibe with ps1 and 2. There is word that the x-box 360 does have some heat issue's. Here's a good link form PC World mag on the PS3, it's also 1080(progressive compatible) so it shouold have incredible graphics on a 1080p HDTV. The word is that it will surpass anything on the market at it's release, even top PC systems won't be able to match it's gaming ability. Nvidia says until they release their next updated pc units.LINK Quote
STEVEO Posted December 24, 2005 Report Posted December 24, 2005 Has anyone ever noticed how wrapped up in Brand Loyalty we get! It doesn't matter what product it is Chevy/Ford, Yamaha/Honda, Bud/Miller, Sony/Microsoft and so on. Here's a news flash It's all the same crap just in a different wrapper. Quote
