MotoLappa Posted December 17, 2005 Report Posted December 17, 2005 I bought a used 02 banshee and it wasn't ridden since June of 05 other than when I test rode it to pick it up. I never drainded the old fuel out of it, I just toped it off with some newer stuff. Today I took it to work and cleand the filter and did some cleaning it up. When it starts up it seams to be way rich on the bottom and when riding it around it cleans itself out and then at other times it seams like it looses power to one cylinder. What should I look for to fix this problem. I am going to drain the tank and clean the pet cock and take the carbs apart and clean them, and put new plugs in it. Is there anything else that might cause this that I should look at? Thanks, Quote
odaen Posted December 18, 2005 Report Posted December 18, 2005 I'd definitely flush the old gas out and not run it. New plugs and a cleaning of the carbs are good ideas. Quote
ogre03 Posted December 18, 2005 Report Posted December 18, 2005 I'd start with cleaning it up like you said. Then once you get her running again, post your results and people will be able to give you more acurate advice. Quote
