04TeamYamahaShee
Well, I went to ride my 'Shee in the snow last week. I go to unload her from my truck, and the little pin that you press down to hold the clutch lever to set the parking brake won't come back up high enough. So whenever I try to pull the clutch in, the parking brake engages. I ride 100 yards or so up to my barn out at my farm and leave her set there for a half hour or so. When I come back, all is fine and dandy and the clutch is working again, so I ride around for a little while. A few days later as I'm cleaning my quad, I go to pull the clutch in so I can roll it forward in my garage a little bit, and it skids across the floor. With the clutch pulled in, it's just like the quad is still in gear and skidding, not rolling. Any ideas as to what's wrong?
FIRST BANSHEE
when it's cold out and the oil is thick, even with the clutch in it might not disengage. try rolling it in neutral.
04TeamYamahaShee
It rolls fine in neutral, still skids with the clutch in. It's been sitting in my heated garage for the past week.
quad4me
Time to ditch that STOOPID P.Brake! It is useless anyway!
04TeamYamahaShee
Yeah I will probably get rid of the damn parking brake pretty quick here.
23champ
start it up with it up, put it in gear hold clutch in and try to push it. If it rolls fine its your clutches sticking together...mine does the same thing. Nothing to worry about.
