2004LEBanshee Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 Guys my she's clutch lever is getting really easy to pull back and slow to return to the engaged position (I've adusted the cable and its no use) . I also noticed the other day I had it in first and pulled the clutch in and hit the throttle. I noticed the she kept rocking forward a little every time I hit the gas. I'm guessing that I could use a new set of clutch plates and springs. My dilema is what should I get. Do I need a new basket and all that or can I just buy new plates and springs. Another question I have is what kinda plates and springs should I get. I ususally never get someting over something I want because of price but I'm kinda low on cash and was wondering how the EBC and TUSK kits are? I mean if I can get 3-4 years on a $35 Tusk kit why not? Quote
locogato11283 Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 u can buy a new clutch but i bet your clutch partsare worn also. new clutch will be a temporary fix if your other clutch parts are toast.. Quote
2004LEBanshee Posted November 29, 2005 Author Report Posted November 29, 2005 if thats the case how can I tell and where can I get the other parts. Quote
odaen Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 You can get a tusk clutch from RMATV for $35 with the HD springs. Get a new clutch cable while you're at it, and don't forget the clutch cover gasket. That's like $55 total before shipping. You'd be surprised how much gummier a clutch will feel with a crappy old cable. It's like putting some gasket sealer down the cable. Quote
