Infamous039 Posted November 26, 2005 Report Posted November 26, 2005 (edited) It was extremely cold out today and I was bringing the Banshee out for a ride today. I started her and let her run for about 15min in order to warm up, both cylinders were firing but the bike was not running at its proper performance. It was riding like something was holding it back from catching the proper power, also it was back firing alot. The bike would catch speed for a quick second and then drown out and shut off in low gears. I would have to gun the throttle in low gears when riding to keep it from shutting off, the idle was perfect though. I store my bike outside under a tarp, could it be moisture in the carb or water in my tank??????? I changed the plugs and it still was acting up, dont know what it could be. PLEASE GIVE ME SOME HELP???????????????? Edited November 26, 2005 by Infamous039 Quote
ozosborne Posted November 26, 2005 Report Posted November 26, 2005 I don't really know that much technically. But it def sounds like fuelling problem of some sorts which could be quite a few things! Wait till the other guys get online, there's plenty people out here that know a lot. It really sucks when the shee is having problems though! Quote
midnite Posted November 26, 2005 Report Posted November 26, 2005 (edited) Jetting??? It sounds like you could be real lean due to extreme cold. What mods? What jetting? What elevation? Edited November 26, 2005 by midnite Quote
Wallrat Posted November 26, 2005 Report Posted November 26, 2005 Your jetting is lean because of the lower temperatures. Hopefully you didn't already melt a piston. Read Ben BB's jetting FAQ in my signature to find out how u fucked up and what to do to fix it. Quote
