toomey hush kit

i heard they are ticketing piped banshee's in glamis now...have any of you heard about this? is anybody running a hush kit? does this steal any power? i'm heading out to glamis soon, don't really want to pay for a ticket u know what i mean

when i checked into the hush kit it said it cave you more h.p.. don't know how, but that is there clame

when i got the ticket i didnt even argue about it he said he could hall my bike in because of no serial # powder coat coverd the # anyways in the trial by mail i stated theres no sighns stating mufflers required or max db allowed

i have a hush kit for when i ride in oregon (i only put it on if they're actually out there checking sound) and i notice NO power change. toomey says "if anything it will actually give a little more power" but there is NO power change at all. i've ridden many times with it on/off and notice nothing (except not as loud )

What do Hush kits run new?

 

Also what kind of time is required to remove or install one? Doesn't look to be that difficult.
