Bigvincent Posted November 12, 2005 Report Posted November 12, 2005 Is it normal for the bike when it first fires up to be firing off one cylinder for about 5-10 seconds and then the second just kicks in? Quote
chris642 Posted November 13, 2005 Report Posted November 13, 2005 (edited) i notice this too, always been this way on very cold starts when it is cold outside. the exhaustcoming from the right pipe isnt close to as strong on the left, then maybe 60 secs of idling it evens out and runs perfect like it has since last year. both sides are at the same PSI also, 155, yours should be at like 130 on a internally stock bike. Bigvincent Posted November 13, 2005 Author Report Posted November 13, 2005 My compression is right around 140 for each side. Mine is exactly the same, starts runs on the one cylinder for a few seconds and then the other kicks in and runs great all day. Weird, glad to see I'm not the only one. Quote
wayfst Posted November 13, 2005 Report Posted November 13, 2005 pilot jet is a little richer on one side. richen the other side and both will fire together. Quote

1000dollabill Posted November 14, 2005 Report Posted November 14, 2005 i've got the 35 cv kit on mine. does the same thing, didn't really notice it until i switched from fmf's to procircuits. cylinders are only 3 psi off. last i checked they were at 128 and 125. still start in three kicks at 45-50 degrees. 2nd kick on warmer days. but same deal with the starting. beats me man. trail rider Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 well, my guess would be that the cylinder that lags on you might not be getting fuel right away? Have you checked your reeds to see if anything doesnt' look right? Like maybe something might be gummed up or somthing until it warms up and clears out?. Quote
