94yambanshee Posted November 10, 2005 Report Posted November 10, 2005 ok first of all 94 banshee top end rebuild last year, ok i replaced the head gasket about half a year ago because i was burning antifreeze thick white smoke outa the left exaust. so i changed that and last night its doing the same exact thingi have no clue what it could be plugs were wet so its not fireing obviously i have new plugs didnt see if that would solve the problem??.. 2nd i would fill the resevor up and when it got hott it would pour out the overflow onto my exaust and smoke. i tryed everything blew threw all the lines to see if they were blocked everything was open..took teh radiator off checked it looked good stock though...i have no clue what the problem could be but its bothering me so much.. Help Greatly appreciated Quote
BdBanshee Posted November 10, 2005 Report Posted November 10, 2005 Sounds like another blown headgasket. You might also check your waterpump impeller, I know some people have had problems with those also. Quote
sandman Posted November 10, 2005 Report Posted November 10, 2005 I have heard of Cometic gaskets having problems due to how thin they are & have lost a head gasket myself that was cometic. I run stock (yamaha) gaskets only now & wouldn't you know NO MORE PROBLEMS. Are yours cometic? Quote
94yambanshee Posted November 10, 2005 Author Report Posted November 10, 2005 Nope Stock yamaha gaskets, im worried about the antifreeze leaking problem the most though pours out when it gets hott Quote
fast500#12 Posted November 10, 2005 Report Posted November 10, 2005 definatly check your impellar. next your head may be warped, take it off and use a staight edge and slowly move it a cross the head if you have any gaps that are not on the combustion area there is your problem. get the head shaved fix the problem and gain some ponies at the same time. Bansh88 Posted November 10, 2005 Report Posted November 10, 2005 I used to dump coolant all over pipes too. Kept filling up resevoir. kept happening. Just fill to minimum level. That stopped all overflow. I no longer even have resevoirs on both Banshees. Get rid of them! No spillage. Quote
