So as stated in the general discussion post I blew up my shee again. Im gonna rebuild but I think Im gonna get som bigger carbs too, Im curious as to what I should go with with the mod I already have, listed in my signiture. Also Jim what size pistons do I need. Im looking on ebay but dont know what size i need. thanks

it is stock stroke, I was looking at the trinity single carb....? :shrugani:

then again i really have no intentions of ever building a storker

Seems like you were at 64.5mm so possibly 64.75 or 65mm ...look at the tops of the pistons and look at the last four numbers...that will tell you were you are at. .25mm will probably not clean it up depnding on exactly the type of failure, detonation, seizure, heat seizure etc etc. Drat, the only Passion street legal road race Banshee in Italy bites it...Jetting sound pretty close for dirt riding(on and off the gas), but on street application and highway riding(sustained rpm), prolly better rich it up some over the 360 unless your running the bowls dry and nothing is going to help that unless you go with different carbs with bigger bowls. Did it just fry the exhaust sides of the pistons or seize???....Jim

jim, i bet hes runnin the bowls dry...i think that if you are going to be runnin it for long periods on the road at wot or near it, bigger carbs may be well worth the investment..he may have been lean but stock carb bowls arent very damn big..

i agree... at topend rpm on a custom higher duration portjob i bet the 33pwks would really suit him well without overcarbing the engine :cheers:

Yeah Tyler, I was a little concerned on that build, tried to go pretty conservative on everything where the head and timing were concerned...its not everyday somebody calls you up wanting a highway cruising Banshee with some real hit behind it. Your right, carbs might be in order....Jim

im deffinetly getting new carbs, Will 30mm do or do I need to go with the 33's I am also looking at the Trinity single carb set up, What do you guys think? Dont worry Jim it may take a while to get some parts here but the shee will be back on the road( literaly) as soon as i get them. I got offerd 8500 Euro for the shee the other day at the car wash from some Italian. thats roughly 12000 us dollars. I told him 10 large or no deal. Needless to say I still have it.

33 would be a good setup for your bike, get duals not a single carb.

 

then save up for some shearers and you will really like how it runs.

No need to save up, 7 months this year were special pay AND tax free, (Iraq and Afghanistan) but Im happy with my SSt's right now. I guess I need to find a 33mm set up. Anyone trying to get rid of one?

Well I pulled it apart today and my right piston was blown and the cylinder is not very smooth. Im hoping that some steel wool will clean it up, I orderd the piston kit and am working with trinity right now to get the 33mm carb set up. Now I just have to wait a week or two to get parts. The riding on the streets is awsome but it sucks waiting on parts over here.
