Bigvincent Posted November 3, 2005 Report Posted November 3, 2005 I am guessing I just need a new clutch but would like second opinion. When i pull in the clutch and shift into first it jumps about a foot and then stops. I was assuming the discs are worn and need to be replaced...what do ya think? Quote
FASTOYS Posted November 3, 2005 Report Posted November 3, 2005 Sounds like you might need a clutch and a few other components maybe. Do a search on F.A.S.T. Racing clutch or feel free to call me 785-364-5325 Quote
2003LimitedBanshee Posted November 3, 2005 Report Posted November 3, 2005 Not to try and take any business away from the reputable guys at FAST, but it could be that you need to adjust your clutch. If the clutch is not adjusted right, it may not be fully disengaging when you pull the lever in, therefore causing your lurch. However, a foot does sound like a BIG lurch, so you may in fact need a new clutch. Check it out and see if that appears to be the problem, then definitely give em a call. Quote
locogato11283 Posted November 3, 2005 Report Posted November 3, 2005 id say if its lurching that bad clutch is toast and so are the clutch components..i wouldnt just do a temp fix with a clutch. if ur basket, inner and outer hubs, and pressure plate are worn, that new clutch will not last long...
