Yamaha_Banshee_Rider Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 Hey All I have a 2002 Banshee that has had some minor engine work. This is the 3rd winter on the engine and I need MORE POWER!!! I bought a 87 Engine and I am going to beef it up a bit. Mods I want to do: Vitos 400 Cheetah (I think 403) Cylinders, Pistons, Heads, 4Mil Stroke. Stuff Already done: Delta V-Force 2 Reeds, K&N Filter, Adjustable Timinig Plate and flywheel, stator. T-6's Can I Run a 1 Into 2 Carb? I want this to make tunning easier. Also I have heard from ALBA Action that Delta V-Force will slow the quad and so will the Carb? Thanks, Josh Quote
broke Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 It's a good start. 4 mils are good running motors. Vitos mono and the Cheetah are different cylinders completely, the CP Industries cylinders are definately reccomended over all the others brands. The big motors will defiantely be slowed by the single carb, but it will still work if that's what you really want to run. Alba's full of shit on the V-Force comment. I have never seen a motor that didn't like them, alky motors have been known to eat them though. T-6s should probably be scrapped for the T-5s if you are going for anything over a very minor build. Like I said earlier, you have a good start, but don't just go by Dirtwheels retailers when building a motor, consult an actual builder. Quote

Yamaha_Banshee_Rider Posted October 30, 2005 Author Report Posted October 30, 2005 I am the only person with a banshee around here. I have seen some around but not anybody I know. I have a friend that lives in florida that has a banshee and he knows a guy in Georgia that build drag banshees. He did a mild port, vitos piston and some little thinks and the Banshee kicks a$$. IT runs sooo perfect. Do you know were I can get ahold of a Banshee engine builder? Quote
