mattb348 Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 Hey guys, I was just wondering if jetting a banshee is the same as jetting a motocross dirtbike? I have a KX 250 and I know how to jet it, but is it exactly the same method as a banshee? You only have 3 things to tinker with, as in the pilot, main jet, and needle jet, correct? And is there an air screw that is for the pilot jet as well? Also, lean jetting = bogging, pinging, and possible engine seizure, correct? And Rich jetting = "crackling" at differnt RPM's, excessive smoke, and fouling plugs, correct? Lastly, do you use the same "ride and feel" method to find the correct jetting for the pilot/needle jet, as you would with a dirtbike? Quote
