odaen Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 to the original question....the gearing would depend quite a bit on what paddles you were running. Quote
watkins Posted October 11, 2005 Author Report Posted October 11, 2005 Paddles are Sand Stars 20x11x10 Quote
odaen Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 I'd pull the highest gear to where you can have solid 2nd gear starts if you are planning on racing. With your mods, the 13 tooth front was probably a good switch. Quote
98bonerSTOCKshee Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 Ok.. here may be a stupid question..... When I put the chain back on the bike I had some trouble getting the c-clip back on the master link. I finally the clip on and it seems to hold the link in place, just the c-clip has a little free play in it. it wiggles up/down (but not left/right)... should I be concerned? Just do not want my chain flying off while riding and injuring me or my goat. 424931 goat?? Where does he ride? Drop it down, I was running a 12 tooth with a 43 I would hit 6th way to quick in the open areas, but as far as tight trails and stuff the 12 was alright.. going back to 13.. As far as making sure the axle is straight, I eye ball it, check the adujuster screws lengths, then I spin the tires around with the rear off the ground if the axle ain't straight you'll hear it binding up... And kinda eye ball the chain how it rides on the sprockets it should be riding the center... I don't rely on the adjuster bolts alone anymore, on my swingarm where the bolts tighten up to the swinger it getting worn, I doubt both sides wore the same.. I use a combo of all 3... Quote
watkins Posted October 15, 2005 Author Report Posted October 15, 2005 (edited) 13 tooth...if u can sit on ur quad and the chain is too tight to move the chain is too tight... 424483 Sitting on the bike, the bike rolls fine, and there is very very little play (but still some) with me sitting on it.. is this normal? I strapped the grapbar to the swinger and the freeplay is a little less than 1/2 inch in each direction, and the shock is 95% compressed. Edited October 15, 2005 by watkins Quote
