S-ARM Bearings...

I am puttin new S-arm bearings in my Shee and i have never done it before, is this gonna be a hard project? Thanks for the help. MEADOWS. <<<CWB>>>

"S arm bearings" ? those may be a bitch, A-arm bearing on the other hand are a snap, try a search this was discussed recently.

Swingarm bearings can be a pain in the ass if the bearing is totally shot.

 

Meadows, Are you talking about the pivot bearings or the carrier bearings?

use a dremmel with a small stone on it. go indside the swing arm and dremmel thru 2 parts of the pivot bearing race. then the race will fall right out. be careful not to go in the swingarm steel housing though.

whats the difference. I pulled the swingarm bolt out to get to them, u tell me which they are. I got the old ones out but now im havein trouble gettin the bar to go through the bearing once i have it in teh swinger. How can i make this easier?? Thanks for the help. MEADOWS. <<<CWB>>>

if you still have it apart i would put a grease zerk in there so they dont rust themselves in there---the first time mine were a pain in the ass to get out--good luck

put the new bearings in the freezer for a few hours. irght before u go to put them in heat up the area on the swinger with a propane torch..no settiline now. and they will pop right in like butter

i used a bushing driver on mine and my brothers worked great.
