It sucks with the stock swing. Those 2 little horizontal bolts have to do with it. I'm hoping I dont have to tighten up the new bike until I get a new swingarm.

Step 1. Loosen the two small lock nuts that point forward.

Step 2. Loosen the upper and lower bolts (I think they are 14mm and 17mm) that go through the axle and carrier.

Step 3. Tighten the two smaller (10mm?) bolts (the ones with the lock nuts)until the chain is adjusted properly - being careful to keep the adjustment even).

Step 4. Tighten the lock nuts while making sure the adjustment bolts don't turn.

Step 5. Tighten the upper and lower bolts (from step 2).

 

You should be good to go. Crappy Yamaha design!
