scottt89 Posted September 7, 2005 Report Posted September 7, 2005 My buddy rode my Banshee around the other day, while I rode his 450, I then saw him sitting in the middle of the field. He was kicking and Kicking, wouldn't turn over. At first I just assumed that it hit reserve, so I switched it over and still no luck. Finally I got it to start, but it sputtered and as soon as you would give it gas, it just backfired or Bogged itself out. The air filter was dirty which was my fault. So now I come to you all. I let it rest yesterday and cleaned out the filter a few hrs ago. Hoping that I wasn't getting enough air with the dirty filter I tried to start it today. I got it to turn over a few times, but as soon as I did it, it would Bog out with throttle. I'm guessing the Carbs probably need to be cleaned as the filter may have gotten some dirt in there. Any ideas past this? I have tried it on both Primary and Reserve, shaking to get gas to all areas. Mods are as in the Signature. Quote
FIRST BANSHEE Posted September 7, 2005 Report Posted September 7, 2005 (edited) you might just need spark plugs... Edited September 7, 2005 by FIRST BANSHEE Quote
sandman Posted September 7, 2005 Report Posted September 7, 2005 Yeah change your plugs first. Then if it still won't run you may have gotten some dirt in the carbs which may cause it to act like that. I got a piece of sand in my carbs once & shee wouldn't take any throttle whatsoever. Quote
