Toomey Banshee Posted September 6, 2005 Report Posted September 6, 2005 I'm trying to get my sons' friends' YZ 85 running. Starting to drive me crazy. Pulled the carb off, cleaned it really good, took out the reed cage and cleaned and flipped the pedals, cleaned and re-oiled the filter. It has spark and is getting fuel. My guess at this point is the top end needs to be rebuilt. Anybody know what the stock compression on one of these bikes is? Thanks. Quote

bobbybonilla Posted September 8, 2005 Report Posted September 8, 2005 I had an old ass moped that would never start for anything, unless I sprayed alittle polar starting fluid in the carbs, then it would run fine. Try that to aid the problem till you get it rebuilt. Quote
