I had this same problem and battled it for quite a while. The next thing that you need to do is switch your carbs. Either plug the choke ports or run a long hose between the two. If the problem moves to the right side it is in the carb. If this happens first look to see if the float bowls are on the proper carbs. The one with the little brass ball pressed into it needs to be on the left side or choke lever carb. This is what my problem ended up being because I pulled them both apart at the same time to change jetting and mixed them up when putting back together. If you know that they are on the correct carbs. then pull the faulty carb apart and clean with cleaner and air. Pull every bit of it apart that you can and clean the hell out of it. Good luck!

:) Thank you all for the input. Finally figured it out. :headbang: It was the v force reeds. I had over tightened the left reeds just enough to make the inner portion twist a little. When it was sitting in the outer piece , it was not flush, thus creating a small air leak. it was so small that it was only sucking in air at high rmp's. I found it when i was going through the engine for the 4th time. I am still shocked that that little airleak caused 4 months of trouble. Thanks again.
