  1. Well the coil checked out just fine, so I decided to switch carbs from my other Banshee to see if it still might be a fuel issue. Well, low and behold I happened to look in at the air jet and noticed that it was clogged with something. It was hard enough that I had ti twist a drill bit thriugh it by hand to clean it out, no wonder the soaking and air had done nothing for it. I put it all back together and it goes like hell again. Thanks for the input from you guys.
  2. The slides are good and the carbs have been synced. Thank you for the input.
  3. I have been battling this for a while now and decided I would ask on here. I did a fresh top end, all new powder coat, removed TORS in the past but just cut off all of the excess plugs to clean up the harness. The bike will start and idle perfect, but after it warms up a bit and I try to ride it the left side goes dead at about 1/4 throttle. I have switched plug wires with no success. I have completely disassembled the carb and cleaned and set the float level. I have removed and inspected the reeds. I removed the coil and made sure that all the powder coat was removed for the coil ground. Any help would be appreciated.
  4. I had the same problem and had put the float bowls on the wrong carbs. I know it sounds funny, but make sure that your left carb (the one with the choke) has the bowl with a small brass ball pressed into the front of it near the bottom. Scott
  5. I had this same problem and battled it for quite a while. The next thing that you need to do is switch your carbs. Either plug the choke ports or run a long hose between the two. If the problem moves to the right side it is in the carb. If this happens first look to see if the float bowls are on the proper carbs. The one with the little brass ball pressed into it needs to be on the left side or choke lever carb. This is what my problem ended up being because I pulled them both apart at the same time to change jetting and mixed them up when putting back together. If you know that they are on the correct carbs. then pull the faulty carb apart and clean with cleaner and air. Pull every bit of it apart that you can and clean the hell out of it. Good luck!
  6. Did you happen to make sure that your float bowls were on the proper carbs? The one with the littlle brass ball on the front of it has to be on the carb with the choke pull (left). If it is not the left cylinder will not run right.
  7. I am going to do a quick check on the TORS and I also have another bike that I can swap stators. Thanks.
  8. Starts and runs fine at idle, but as soon as I come off of idle one side goes dead or almost dead. Any suggestions on where to start would be appreciated. I have taken the carb apart and cleaned. I do still have the TORS hooked up. 97 Banshee Thank you.
