bansheecrazy Posted September 1, 2005 Report Posted September 1, 2005 (edited) ok here is my latest problem I installed my prodesign intake. got it all together and then started it up and it revved like mad man, had to shut it down couldnt get it to stop with the throttle only thing I could do is shut it off. I looked over the Carbs and the slides looks good. backed out the idle screws still no luck, does any one think it could be that I need to go up on the pilot or the main. I am thinking pilot because it has to do with idleing. Currently 320's on 2nd clip Any ideas PLEASE help thanks keith 2003 Banshee FMF Fatties Vforce 2 with spacer Pro design intake with boost bottle Open air box with K&N 4 degree advance timing pro design cool head 18cc 300 jets, middle clip postion on needle LRD stage 3 port job I am at 5500ft altitude Edited September 1, 2005 by bansheecrazy Quote

wayfst Posted September 1, 2005 Report Posted September 1, 2005 make sure the slides are in right. Quote
locogato11283 Posted September 1, 2005 Report Posted September 1, 2005 even if your pilot is off 2 sizes thats not gonna cause it to rev out like that. id say an air leak or you have one of the slides in wrong... Quote
bansheecrazy Posted September 1, 2005 Author Report Posted September 1, 2005 GODD LOOKIN OUT. I found that the boots pushed into the bottle, they are a little dryrotted. I purchased them used. I went to lowes today and got new grommets to put on, I will try to get it together and start it but My job is sending me down to BATON ROUGE to help out with that disaster. I probley wont get to the bike for quite some time. Thanks allot all you guys are the best. I will let you know. Thanks keith Quote
bansheecrazy Posted September 16, 2005 Author Report Posted September 16, 2005 Well back ran it with 330 main jets in the middle, still a little bog thoughout the bottom half of throttle then Screams. It started out only in the first 1/4 then started to bog longer and longer. looked at the plugs they look good light brown maybe a little redish tint to them. I am starting to think topend with all this going on. It is at 40 over with 110 compression do you guys think I can get by with going 50 over no major scores just normal wear from what I remember when I had the jugs off. Or should I just go 60 over and be safe. thanks for the help. race-a-holic Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 Make sure your boost bottle isn't rubbing your pipes. The bottle doesn't help anyways, and a friend of mine actually burned his banshee up when one of his pipes actually rubbed a small crack in one side of his boost bottle(air leak).Just thought I'd let you know. bbluebanshee Posted September 20, 2005 Report Posted September 20, 2005 to fix that midrange bog...try dropping a clip on your needle. Sounds like you may be a bit fat in the mid...raising the needle a clip may fix that Quote
