  1. I sold my banshee, I have a prodesign BOOST bottle setup intake cylinders that are in great condition that are 20 over may need a hone. They were takin off when running I bought LRD cyliders at the time. I have stock VITO's piston set still in box with clip's and all except gasket. some plastics laying around. any offers I can send pictures next week. when I get home. Sorry to see the shee go, but needed the cash. thanks keith
  2. that Garmin Etrex, is like 120 at comp USA is there a monthly fee for that to work. I really only need to know speed and stuff but curious if there is a monthly charge like XM radio or Sirius. Looks cool also curious if it tell you how many miles you traveled, MY SHEE drinks allot of gas so dont want to run out in the middle of the dessert. Thanks for the info. Have a happy holidays

  4. Well back ran it with 330 main jets in the middle, still a little bog thoughout the bottom half of throttle then Screams. It started out only in the first 1/4 then started to bog longer and longer. looked at the plugs they look good light brown maybe a little redish tint to them. I am starting to think topend with all this going on. It is at 40 over with 110 compression do you guys think I can get by with going 50 over no major scores just normal wear from what I remember when I had the jugs off. Or should I just go 60 over and be safe. thanks for the help.   5. GODD LOOKIN OUT. I found that the boots pushed into the bottle, they are a little dryrotted. I purchased them used. I went to lowes today and got new grommets to put on, I will try to get it together and start it but My job is sending me down to BATON ROUGE to help out with that disaster. I probley wont get to the bike for quite some time. Thanks allot all you guys are the best. I will let you know. Thanks keith
  6. ok here is my latest problem I installed my prodesign intake. got it all together and then started it up and it revved like mad man, had to shut it down couldnt get it to stop with the throttle only thing I could do is shut it off. I looked over the Carbs and the slides looks good. backed out the idle screws still no luck, does any one think it could be that I need to go up on the pilot or the main. I am thinking pilot because it has to do with idleing.   7. this bike is driving me nuts, I tried the 310's I guess I was getting closer but then the plugs looked a bit lean, with the clip being in the middle. I then put in 320s wih the clip on the second from the top of the needle, this way it would be a leaner 320. now I am to fat it seems. went for a ride on sunday like that it ran like hell for about 5 minutes then started to pop and sputter. adjusting the air screw didnt do anything, I am suppose to get the intake in the mail this weds or thurs, I am thinking that It might be a little fat and by putting the prodesign intake in maybe that will help a little. PLease HELP any suggestions would greatly help out. I am really going nuts over this. when I get the intake I will look over the reeds and the carbs again to make sure every thing is in good working order. Any suggestions would help.
  8. Well heading in the right Direction, thanks to you guys. I have cleaned out the left carb, did notice that the choke slide was nasty dirty. but took aprt the whol carb and soaked it in 3 bottles of carb clean for 2 day. put back together.I also went out an bought VP gas from yamaha, 105 Octain and the pro plugs for it. I ran it yesterday wil the 300's in it. seem to run a little groggy in 1st starting off, then took off great like in power band, after about 10 minutes of riding all the gears seemed to get groggy of the if not in powerband. I messed with the air screw didnt make it better at all. I put 310's in it last night left clip in middle and will try it tonight or tomarrow. Thanks for the help guys I appreciate any and all suggestions. I am thinking that a rering would deffinetly put me over the top after I get it running right. I just won a set of prodesign intake kit on ebay, so I will be putting that in next week would I have to jet up because of that normally or not Take care
  9. well tested the compresion last night in the left cylender and it was 110 to 115 so next will be tonight if have time I will pull apart the left Carb and give it a good cleaning. I was thinking last night chilling with my neighbor that the right carb in the past was giving me issues and I pulled it all apart and soaked in Carb cleaner I will try that with the left one. I will keep ya posted, Keep up the suggestions, you guys rock thanks I will check that Pilot jet might be clogged hope that is it I dont want to rebuild.

I live at 5500 in Rio Rancho New mexico, I think when I put on my pipes and and K&N I went up like 20 or 30 from what it was stock on my 2003 banshee. didnt mess with the pilot at all but maybe that is my problem now with me getting more mods. But that 270 quote sounds good to me. you guys are great banshee people stick together. take care all
  12. My banshee is driving me crazy. blew the top end on it about 2 months ago, ran it to lean and basically melted the vitos pistons. So i found a set of Jugs on ebay that were supposively ported by LRD, the guy claimed that it had 145 compression when he took then out. I received them they had a little wear on the cynlenders, So i honed them I then got it all together and I am getting like 110 max compression. I also installed the TORS removal tops on it while it was takin apart. The problem I am having is the it runs like sh*t in the bottom end and top end 6th gear but that could be expected. mid range seems to run great. I tried messin with the needle just gets worse, the plugs look good chocolate brown minimal wetness, then when I went to a neighbors house and was just idling, we noticed that the right FMF fatty pipe was getting hot but the left one wasn't. weird! I tried to change plugs and swap spark plug wires and see if there was a difference. none still right side allot hotter. My neighbor is saying it is the top end, I really dont want to resort to that unless I am totally sure. it is .040 now I think I might be able to go .050 but the machinist would have to make that call I am not skilled enough to know.   13. well here is my latest situation. I noticed while sitting at my neighbors house. that while idling, the right side heats up more and allot quicker. he thinks it may be a top end. So to delete some posibilties I put in new plugs and swaped the spark plug cables and still the right side heats up quicker. any suggestions. the carbs looks sycked from look through the air box area, not sure very confused any idea.   14. well changed the gas and found a small air leak with the air screw. sealed that and am running super gas. 91 octain with octain booster. Still boging in the take off good throughout the gears and top end boggs a little what can that be. Also am thinking maybe I should re ring the cylynders, only thing is dont knnow where to get rings only at for proX pistons. are rings universal?? thanks for teh help, keep up the suggestions greatly appreciated. keith
  15. dah one thing I forgot to mention before is that it is backfiring at a low tone not loud, but consistant through out the powerband. also another thing that I will have to rectify is the gas that is in there is about 2 months old from when the top end originally wen. Also now it seems that I have to give it gas during kicking never had to do that before, maybe that is because the plugs are fauled not sure. I will have to get new gas and new plug before I do any testing right. Curious what should the compression be around. Thanks keith

No airbox top or bottom wide open, running 18 on the domes, it is on the 4th clip but havnt tried the choke half way out for testing purposes I will try that next I appreciate the quick responce. thanks keith I have been pretty frusted with this bike I am not much of a mechanic I was and possibly still thinking of going 4 stroke But the thing is when the banshee is running good it is so bad A$$, would be hard to give up, but the new raptor will be fuel injected. hard decisions to make.   17. Curious if some one can help me? My shee has bee acting up for a while finally blew the top end. I went out and found a used set of cylender ported by LRD, with pistons decent ssetup. had 110 compresion. I get it all together and still having issues. It seems with new plugs it hauls fir about 2 minutes then starts fauling, but sometime when I am at topend it runs decent but I think could be better. but bottom end flat out suck it like gurgles, I think that i am to rich but dont want to burnup my cylenders again, I am at 6000 ft altitude and have vforce, fmf pipes, advanced 4 degrees, K&N, and porting done I am at 300 on my main jet, any opinions would be great ly appreciated. I was going to try to goto a 290 but then my neighbor said to put the 300 back in and check for a air leak, I will do that for now. I was told get the bike running then spray carb cleaner and the bike should react if there is a air leak. would appreciate any help I can get take care all. Keith
