sandslinger03 Posted August 28, 2005 Report Posted August 28, 2005 I am looking to setup my banshee for an all around power feel. I ride open trails some mx tracks and dunes. I currently have dmc 916's k&n pods cool head with 21 cc domes. I was wondering along with porting what should I do. I was thinking of putting some t-5's 28mm carbs v-force 2 and porting. Is there a better combo that would fit my riding better. I am open to suggestions. Quote
RNBRAD Posted August 28, 2005 Report Posted August 28, 2005 I think your on the right track. I'm not sure I would change your pipes but after porting I would go bigger on the carbs, something around a 30mm. Look at lightening the flywheel and advancing your timing as well. Quote

blueshee03 Posted August 28, 2005 Report Posted August 28, 2005 my son ran v-force reeds and they will deffinately go to shit and possibly get sucked in to engine.we caught his in time that they did'nt get sucked into engine but they were about ready to .he switched to v-force 3's and they are a great improvement in design and an improvement in performance.however in my oppinion a set of ported stock cages with boysen reeds in my oppinion perform just as good if not better than v-force for a lot less money.for trail and mx riding i would'nt bother lightening the flywheel.i would advance timing 4 degrees and go with 33pwk's. Big Blue Posted August 28, 2005 Report Posted August 28, 2005 Get your cylinders ported, keep the pipes and try them on the motor and see if you like them, reeds, 30mm pwks and bump up the compression. Quote
sandslinger03 Posted August 28, 2005 Author Report Posted August 28, 2005 what type of port would be best. a mild mx port? Quote
