I have the carb tops off already and all, i just need some help getting the cables out. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

stock carbs, I'm assuming?

if so, hold the slide upside down and compress the spring against the cap with your fingers. tap on the slide with your hand and a clip will most likely fall out. this is what keeps the cable end locked in the slide. once that clip comes out, you can slide the cable end out of the notch in the slide.

once you have the cable out and there's no spring, take that clip and put it back in the slide so you know how it goes in and can see what it's doing. trying to figure it out when you're compressing the spring, trying to get the damn cable in the slot...oh, you'll know what I'm talking about when you go to do it. the first couple of times, it's a real pain the ass. once you get it down, it's pretty easy.

another tip is to zip tye the springs once compressed on both sides, then when you reinstall you just cut the zip ties and remove once you have the new cable installed, worked nicely for me
