bansheefreestyler Posted August 24, 2005 Author Report Posted August 24, 2005 come on guys i need help bad. will it wreck it more if i keep riding it until i park it for the winter? Quote
white trash Posted August 24, 2005 Report Posted August 24, 2005 Just to make sure Im understanding you... You cant get into 1st gear? Any noise from the motor when its running? Could be somthing like the shift star, or maybe the 1st gear shift fork is bent or somthing Quote
bansheefreestyler Posted August 24, 2005 Author Report Posted August 24, 2005 nope no noise. it makes a grinding noise like when your shifting a manual car or truck and dont have the clutch pushed in all the way. but thats when i shift it into second with the clutch pulled in Quote
bansheefreestyler Posted August 27, 2005 Author Report Posted August 27, 2005 k guys its screwed over like mad. it goes straight from neutral into 3rd then it will find neutral as soon as i try and shift into 4th. I dont get whats up with that? anyone. I need some info bad. Quote
batoutofshell Posted August 27, 2005 Report Posted August 27, 2005 I would recomend you not ride it and it need to be taken apart to find out whats wrong probably bad shifting forks thats internal so it will have to have the tranny out!either that or you got some chewed up gears in there. Quote
bansheefreestyler Posted August 27, 2005 Author Report Posted August 27, 2005 so it could be a bad shift fork or chewed up gears. last night it was working good i had all gears but before and after that it has been messed Quote
taldoc3 Posted August 27, 2005 Report Posted August 27, 2005 stop riding and take it apart man, it may be as simple as a shift fork now but it will and could be worse if you keep ridin it Quote
bansheefreestyler Posted August 27, 2005 Author Report Posted August 27, 2005 (edited) so do i have to split the cases or just pull the clutch cover off? also when i get it apart how do i know what is wrong and what do i look for Edited August 27, 2005 by bansheefreestyler Quote
iceman Posted August 27, 2005 Report Posted August 27, 2005 drain the oil first. take off the clutch cover. look for fucked up shit. Quote
