tires for asphalt drags

was wondering what would be some good tires to run on asphalt drags. thinking of going to wichita to international raceway some day to just see what fun i can have.

 

 

thought about some flat track tires that were used some. think they would work ok???

but if you are not going to run the strip alot just air your dirt tires down around 2-6 psi depending on track condition and temperature.

i've tried both, the american racing and junior dragster. they both hook up well, hot or cold day. the jr. dragster tire is about 2 lbs. lighter.so i would definately reccommend M/T. a good place to get them is Motivational Tubing,because they will sell you a matched set. which makes a big difference at the big end of the track because of the swell.
