biggun6ss Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 With after market pipes do you have to change your jetting? I always thought that an aftermarket pipes allowed your engine to flow exhaust better. Couldn't you still run stock jetting with after market pipes? I know if you change anything on the intake you have to change jetting and getting aftermarket pipes compliment the intake changes. Just wondering why when everyone changes pipes they change their jetting. Quote

biggun6ss Posted August 13, 2005 Author Report Posted August 13, 2005 So if you ran stock jets with lets say Toomey T6 pipes, would your engine run lean? Quote
biggun6ss Posted August 13, 2005 Author Report Posted August 13, 2005 Does it have to do with the amount of back-pressure is on the engine? Like a larger pipe would have less back-pressure allowing more air in and out of the engine. Where as a smaller pipe would have more back-pressure allowing less air in and out of the engine. Just trying to get a little understanding of how these engines work. Quote
